Quick Cleaning Tips for your Home
Weekends spell days of unwinding with your family. But of course, there are still chores to finish before you can finally sit down and relax, like doing the laundry and cleaning our home . That doesnt mean , though, that you have to spend hours and hours cleaning floors.
Here are some tips from Isagani Cruz ;
WOOD
- clean wooden floors everyday with a damp towel then follow up with a dry cloth. Too much moisture is not good for wooden floors.
- Apply a thin layer of wax once a week. Polish off excess wax.
- Dirt, sand, and mud can scratch your floor. Put doormats on entrances to trap dirt and prevent damage.
- Wipe off spills immediately.
- Do not drag furniture on the floor to prevent scrapes and scratches
MARBLE
- Use a damp mop to clean everyday. The mop should not be too wet to prevent the marble from getting too porous.
-Attend to spillage, especially oil and grease, to prevent absorption into the stone
TILES
- Use a scrubbing pad and detergent soap to wipe off dirt from tiles. Sweep away all the dirt removed to prevent them from getting into the space between the tiles.
- To reach corners, gaps, and crevices, use plastic brush.
- Clean bathroom tiles everyday to prevent water minerals and deposits from damaging them. Dry off tiles after every bath or shower.
LINOLEUM
- With a non-abrasive scrubbing pad, clean with a mild detergent and water solution then rinse thoroughly. Follow up with a dry mop immediately.
- Do not use ammonia or other strong alkaline cleaners.
