Stain Removal Tips in laundering
Not only is it necessary to have the right equipment and supplies , but for clean , attractive wash the right laundering tips is also necessary
Chewing gum Stain
What you need : Ice, knife, cleaning
What you do: Rub spot with piece of ice until gum hardens. Scrape off with knife .
Sponge with fluis if stain remains
Fruit juices , coffee Stain
What you need: Cold water, boiling water, bowl or pan
What you do: Soak in cold water, Stretch stained portion over empty bowl . Pour on boiling water from heights of 1 to 2 feet
Grease from foods in cold cream
What you need: cleaning fluid, warm suds , French chalk , cornstarch or talc(on light fabrixs only)
What you do: Sponge in cleaning fluid and wash warm suds. Sprinkle grease spot with powdery cleanser and let stand several hour. Brush off. Repeat if needed. Place stains between blotters, press blotter with warm iron
Grease from machinery
What you need: Petroleum jelly or flat , warm suds
What you do: Rub petroleum jelly or fat into stain to soften , wash in warm suds
Ink Stain (non-washable)
What you need: Milk , bowl
What you do: Soak stain in bowl of milk until milk sours. Repeat if needed, Wash in warm suds
Ink Stain (washable)
What you need: Cold water
What you do: Soak in water, rubbing and changing water as necessary
Lipstick is fabric is washable
What you need: Petroleum jelly, warm suds
What you do: Rub petroleum jelly into stain. Wash in warm suds
Mud Stain
What you need: Warm suds, brush
What you do: When mud is fry, brush off as much as possible. Wash stain in warm suds and rinse.
Nail Polish Stain
What you need: Nail- polish remover (except for acetate fabrics)
What you do: Sponge with polish remover
Paint Stain
What you need : Turpentine, warm suds
What you do: Rub spot lightly with cloth dippen in turpentine. Wash in warm suds
Syrup or Candy Water Stain
What you need: Hot water
What you do: Soak in hot water and wash
