Your best bet to getting the laundry done on time? Mom's reliable equipment and some tender loving care. Weekends spell days of unwinding with your family. But of course, there are still chores to finish before you can finally sit down and relax, like doing the laundry.
That doesn't mean, though, that you have to spend hours and hours with your washing machine.

To make laundry time easier and faster, make sure to keep the basics in mind:

  • Don't wash heavily-colored clothes with light-colored ones and whites.
  • Don't overload the washer so it can best clean your garments; but do load clothes to the washer's capacity, as this would save you time and energy.
  • Load the clothes evenly don't put heavy garments on one side and light ones on the other. This would prevent items from clumping together.
  • Wash delicate items separately.

When you're using powder detergents, it's best to use warm water so that the detergents dissolves faster. On the other hand, tap water is perfect for liquid detergents. And to avoid too much wrinkling, use cold water when rinsing.

Check garments labels for washing instructions so you know when it's safe to use the dryer and when to air dry instead. When using your washing machine's dryer, remember to load clothes up to its capacity. Small loads would only reduce the tumbling effect, making your drying time longer.

Do your laundry right and save time! It also saves you energy so that you can accomplish the most important chores of all-spending quality time with your loved ones.
